BACKGROUND: 

The Rainbow Boulevard Widening project is a cooperative effort between Clark County and Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), of which NDOT intends to delegate authority to the County to advertise, award, and manage construction of the widening project on Rainbow Boulevard between Clark County 215 Beltway and Blue Diamond Road (State Route 160).

The total project cost is $8,947,368, which has been approved for 95% Federal Congressional Designated funding.  The County is required to pay a 5% match as part of the total project cost.  The attached Cooperative (local public agency) Highway Agreement No. PR525-23-063 formalizes this requirement and identifies the responsibilities of both the County and NDOT.

The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the cooperative agreement as to form.
