BACKGROUND:
The instant lawsuit arises from a collision that occurred on or around November 26, 2018. A County vehicle operated by a County employee crashed into the rear of Plaintiff's vehicle on US 95 traveling at a high rate of speed. Plaintiff alleged significant medical special damages, lost wages, future treatment, and general damages in excess of the statutory cap on award of damages under NRS 41.035.The Civil Division of the District Attorney’s Office has negotiated terms for settlement with claimant's counsel and requests settlement authority in an amount of $89,999.99 to fully resolve all claims against the County and its employees in the case.The settlement amount have been reviewed and approved by the Civil Division of the District Attorney’s Office and the Clark County Liability Pool Committee members.
