BACKGROUND: 

The proposed ordinance amends all references of "Clark County Social Service" and changes them to "Clark County Social Services" within County Code Title 2, Chapter 48, and Title 7, Chapter 7.18, to ensure consistency with the department's official name. 

The proposed ordinance was introduced at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on July 1, 2025, and the public hearing was set for July 15, 2025 at 10:00 am.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this item as to form.
