The initial Contract amount was not to exceed $28,000,000. Amendment No. 1 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $7,487,172. Amendment No. 2 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $8,442,000. Amendment No. 3 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $6,174,552. Amendment No. 4 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $37,809,000. Amendment No. 5 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $15,092,750. Amendment No. 6 will increase the Contract by an amount not to exceed $18,962,531.10 for a new total Contract amount not to exceed $121,968,005.10 should all renewal options be exercised. |
BACKGROUND:
On September 20, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the Master Contract for RFQ No. 604131-16 for Foster Care Services in the aggregate amount of $28,000,000.
The following firms have been qualified and Contracts have been executed: 180 Community Wellness Centers, LLC, Apple Grove Treatment Center, LLC dba Apple Grove Foster Care Agency, Bamboo Sunrise, LLC, Eagle Quest, Greater Hope Foundation for Children, Olive Crest Treatment Centers LLC, Shining Star Community Services LLC dba Shining Star Community Services, Specialized Alternatives For Families And Youth Of Nevada, Inc., St. Jude's Ranch For Children Inc dba St. Jude's Ranch For Children-Nevada Region, Inc., National Youth Advocate Program, Inc.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through September 20, 2017, and included the option to renew for 3, one-year periods. There are no renewal options remaining. • Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Amendment No. 1 updated the daily rates for each category of Foster Care Services.
Amendment No. 2 increased the type of services, added the pricing associated with the services and included Contract services eligible for Federal Title IV-E funding reimbursement.
Amendment No. 3 reduced the type of services and revised the pricing.
Amendment No. 4 extended the term of the Contract through December 31, 2022 and replaced Exhibit D, Agency Foster Care Rate Schedule.
Amendment No. 5 extended the term of the Contract through December 31, 2023.
Approval of Amendment No. 6 will extend the term of the Contract through December 31, 2024. The attached Amendment No. 6 document details the costs involved.
