BACKGROUND:
On February 6, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606733-23 for 2022-2023 Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program Funds to City of North Las Vegas in the amount of $914,010 for City of North Las Vegas housing related services including, but not limited to, assisting non-profit agencies to acquire, construct and/or rehabilitate rental housing units, assisting owner-occupants to rehabilitate their homes, and assisting first time home buyers through the Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Program.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Agreement:
• The term of the Agreement was from date of award through June 30, 2026 and included the option to renew for 2, one-year periods.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will update the Agreement amount to reflect Nevada Housing Division (NHD) awarded amount. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
