BACKGROUND:

Clark County and the United States Department of the Air Force (USAF) desire to enter into the attached Right Of Entry No. USAF-ACC-RKMF-21-2-0092 granting Clark County Department of Public Works access and use of USAF property located on Nellis Air Force Base (NAFB), for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, installing, and repairing a traffic signal on East Craig Road and Salmon Drive, known as Military Family Housing Gate (Project No. PW.R211CFT).

The County's access privileges to USAF property for the purposes herein stated and detailed in the attached Right Of Entry No. USAF-ACC-RKMF-21-2-0092 are without cost to the County unless its officers, employees, agents or invitees cause damage to, or destroys, USAF property.  This Right Of Entry is revocable by the Air Force and will terminate on March 16, 2022, or upon relinquishment by the County, whichever occurs first.  Other exceptions, reservations, terms, conditions, rights, and special stipulations pertaining to the County and USAF are further described in the Right Of Entry.

Public Works is requesting this authorization prior to NAFB executing the Right Of Entry.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the Right Of Entry as to form.  The form of the Right Of Entry is attached.
