BACKGROUND: 

Mr. Almeido currently works for the Clark County Department of Parks and Recreation as the Acting Director and has been with the department since May, 1995.  His career with Clark County spans over 30 years where he began administering the Safe Key program.  Since then, Mr. Almeido has advanced through the department, holding various supervisory and management positions and was promoted to the Deputy Director position in June, 2024. 

Over the years, Mr. Almeido has demonstrated his ability to manage and oversee the operations and finances of Clark County public parks and recreational spaces.  Through his wealth of knowledge and passion for providing a place for our constituents to enjoy indoor and outdoor recreational activities, Mr. Almeido will continue to work with his team to meet the needs of Clark County's growing and diverse population. 

Pursuant to Clark County Code Section 2.40.100, I am respectfully requesting that the Board ratify this appointment effective August 18, 2025.
