Annual Requirements Contract for Hygiene Supplies

Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was $1,085,848.71, Amendment No. 1 will increase the Contract amount by $67,096.56, for a new total Contract amount of $1,152,945.27.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On November 21, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 606572-23 for Annual Requirements Contract for Hygiene Supplies to Phoenix Trading, Inc. dba Amercare Products, Inc. (WBE) for Packages 1 and 5, Brady Industries of Nevada, LLC dba Brady IFS (NBE) for Packages 2-3, and Charm-Tex, Inc. (WBE) for Package 4 in the amount of $1,085,848.71 for personal hygiene supplies for the inmates at the Clark County Detention Center and the Department of Juvenile Justice Services.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:

                     The term of the Contract was from date of award through October 31, 2024 and included the option to                      renew for 4, one-year periods.  There are 4 renewal options remaining.
                     Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user                      requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
                     Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3%  for possible price increases for renewal terms.
                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for personal hygiene supplies for juveniles within the Department of Family Services.  The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.

Brady Industries of Nevada, LLC dba Brady IFS currently holds a Clark County Business License.

The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for Phoenix Trading, Inc. dba Amercare Products, Inc. for this effort.
