BACKGROUND:
The proposed ordinance takes the duties and functions of County Code sections 2.48.015, 2.48.025, 2.48.055, 2.48.060, 2.48.065, 2.48.070, 2.48.080, 2.48.085, and 2.48.095 and consolidates them into Code section 2.48.030. In addition, the proposed ordinance updates, corrects, and clarifies Social Service's overall duties and functions.
The proposed ordinance was introduced at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on March 5, 2024, and the public hearing was set for March 19, 2024 at 10:00 am.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this item as to form.
