BACKGROUND: 

On January 1, 2020, City of Charlotte, A North Carolina Municipal Corporation awarded Omnia Contract 2020000622, for Furniture, Installation, and Related Products and Services to Millerknoll dba Herman Miller, Inc. In North America, U.S. Territories and Outlying Areas, Herman Miller products are distributed through a network of authorized and certified dealers. Clark County will acquire products, services and issue purchase orders to Henriksen Butler Nevada, LLC dba HB Workplaces, the exclusive Certified Dealer for Herman Miller and Knoll in Utah, Nevada and Idaho.   

Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved to provide Real Property Management (RPM), the opportunity to test and evaluate the products and services of the Certified Dealer, Henriksen Butler Nevada, LLC dba HB Workplaces.

The following are the pertinent provisions of this approval:
                     The term of the Omnia Contract is from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024 with the option to                      renew for two (2) additional one-year periods through December 31, 2026. 
                     Clark County is not under exclusive contract with Henriksen Butler Nevada LLC and therefore can cease                      purchasing products/services at any time.

This approval is in accordance with NRS 332.195.1, a governing body or its authorized representative may enter into a contract pursuant to a solicitation by (b) the State of Nevada or another state with the authorization of the contracting vendor.

Henriksen Butler Nevada LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
