BACKGROUND: 

On October 20, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award to the State of Nevada, Department of Business and Industry, Nevada Housing Division to provide HOME Program Funds to Clark County, the lead agent of the Clark County HOME Consortium, to assist with qualified projects under HOME Program rules, statues, and regulations for the production of multifamily rental properties through acquisitions, new construction, and rehabilitations in order to provide affordable housing assistance to qualified clients.                      

On November 7, 2024, the Board approved Amendment 1 that extended the Agreement from May 31, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

Approval of Amendment No. 2 will update the correct Program Income amount to $143,272.58, the correct amount of Program Income receipted the prior fiscal year (FY19).

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 277.180. The parties are authorized to enter into
interlocal contracts to perform governmental functions and activities.
