BACKGROUND:
On July 21, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 605615-20 for a Lease and Operation Agreement to Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary & Bartenders Training Fund dba Culinary Academy of Las Vegas (NBE) in the amount of $263,596.10 for the operation of a restaurant to serve occupants and visitors to the Clark County Government Center.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Agreement:
• The term of the Agreement was from date of award through June 30, 2023 and included the option to renew for 2, one-year periods. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for 2 additional one-year renewal options. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications involved.
Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary & Bartenders Training Fund dba Culinary Academy of Las Vegas currently holds a Clark County Business License.
