BACKGROUND: 

The Business Development Advisory Council (BDAC)was created by Clark County Code Chapter 3.56 on August 4, 1987.  BDAC's duties include but are not limited to promoting the County's Small Business Opportunity Program (SBOP); working with the State of Nevada's entrepreneurial (Department of Economic Development) office, acting as a mentor, and working with local agencies and organizations involved in aiding and promoting local, small, women-owned and minority business enterprises.  The Board of County Commissioners shall appoint nine (9) members to the council.

On September 3, 2024, public notifications to accept applications for the BDAC appointments were posted on Clark County web sites, through local government and resource agencies.  Eighteen applications were received from the following individuals John Amatucci*, Mike Bindrup, Monica Coburn, David Eclips*, Franisha Hayes, Andre Haynes, Bedford Jackson*, Keya Jones, LaTonya Miller, Daphine Moore, Tuan Pham, Frances Stephens Richards, Kaitlyn Schwantes, Vik Shrestha, Lori Trujillo, Demetrius Ware, Wayne Wedlow, and Corinthia Yancey (*incumbent member). Applications are attached.

The suggested slate is a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of small business knowledge and experience that can support the BDAC mission; John Amatucci*, Mike Bindrup, Monica Coburn, David Eclips*, Andre Haynes, Bedford Jackson*, Tuan Pham, Kaitlyn Schwantes and Corinthia Yancey.
