BACKGROUND:

On January 31, 2022, in accordance with the NRS 332 Resolution approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board), the Department of Administrative Services, Purchasing and Contracts Division approved the award of CBE No. 606053-21 to Clean the World Foundation, Inc. (NBE) in the amount not to exceed $987,000 to provide for ongoing operations of three (3) mobile hygiene units (truck and customized trailer) throughout Southern Nevada.

This project is designed to address the hygiene needs of individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness within Clark County and to facilitate referrals to substance use treatment, housing assistance, and medical care. Studies indicate that access to private shower facilities and hygiene supplies not only reduces the risk of communicable disease transmission but also contributes to improved psychological wellbeing, self-image, and personal dignity for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
The term of the Contract was from December 31, 2020 through September 30, 2022.
Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Amendment No. 1 added 3, one-year renewal options to allow for the continuation of services.

Amendment No. 2 increased funds for the continuation of service for the remaining Contract term.

Approval of Amendment No. 3 will extend the contract term through September 30, 2026. Amendment No. 3 document details the modification and costs involved.

Clean the World Foundation, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
