BACKGROUND: 

In coordination with the re-authorization of the Clark County Redevelopment Agency, each commission district not containing redevelopment areas was allocated $2.5 million in funds from the FY22 capital budget to focus on economic development opportunities within each district.

Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones is providing a grant to the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Foundation to administer scholarships to students who have declared a degree in Applied Psychology, Mental Health Services AAS program for the upcoming school year (2024-2025). ($150,000)

Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones is providing a sponsorship to the 2024 Vegas Tech Summit which promotes Clark County as a burgeoning center for tech industries. The primary objective of the Vegas Tech Summit is to attract tech companies and venture capitalists to consider Southern Nevada as a viable location for business expansion or relocation. ($25,000)
