BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Russell Road between Hualapai Way and Durango Drive project in the Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2024. The design is 90 percent complete, and all necessary rights-of-way to construct the project have been obtained.

The attached Interlocal Contract No. 3117 allocates funds for construction of the Russell Road between Hualapai Way and Durango Drive project. The project consists of roadway improvements that include up to four travel lanes, medians, drainage facilities, signing, striping, traffic control devices, curb, gutter, sidewalks, streetlights and utility relocations. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2028, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on October 12, 2023.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
