BACKGROUND: 

In order to preserve access to healthcare services for underinsured individuals in the State of Nevada at non state governmentally owned hospitals, and to recognize the higher costs incurred by teaching programs when providing said services, the State of Nevada, Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) shall provide Supplemental Payments to non-state, governmental owned or operated teaching hospitals.  This interlocal contract supports the State’s supplemental Directed MCO Payment program for inpatient and outpatient care within University Medical Center (UMC) and is effective from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2027.
