BACKGROUND:

This is the first amendment to the original interlocal agreement to provide reimbursement for emergency transportation services provided to Medicaid recipients.  This amendment changes the name of Public Entity #1 from Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Care Financing and Policy to Nevada Health Authority, Division of Nevada Medicaid per SB494 effective 7/1/2025.

On December 1, 2020, the Board renewed the contract with the State allowing the Clark County Fire Department to obtain reimbursement of costs incurred for emergency transportation and ground ambulance services provided to eligible recipients in accordance with the State of Nevada Medicaid State Plan.  The current contract is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2029.

The contract has been approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office.
