BACKGROUND:
On July 20, 2004, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the Fire Chief to accept donations to the department in an amount not to exceed $2,500 in personal property and $1,000 in monetary donations. Individual donations valued at more than $2,500 in personal property or $1,000 in cash will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for acceptance at a regularly scheduled meeting.The Cocker Spaniel Club of Las Vegas has donated $1,490.76, to purchase canine oxygen masks for use on emergency scenes where dogs or puppies may be in distress and require oxygen. The Clark County Fire Department appreciates their generosity and recommends ratifying acceptance of this donation.
