BACKGROUND:

The proposed 2024 Swimming Pool and Spa Code replaces the current 2018 edition.

The Southern Nevada Amendments to the 2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code were developed jointly by the Southern Nevada Building Officials and the local construction industry through committee hearings and actions.

Adopting and enforcing the 2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code with the Southern Nevada Amendments will provide for improved construction methods and materials, and contribute to consistency in construction of new aquatic recreation facilities, swimming pools, and spas in Clark County.

The ordinance was introduced at the July 1, 2025, Board of County Commissioners' meeting, and a public hearing is scheduled for July 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.  Staff recommends approval of the ordinance to amend Title 22, Chapter 22.20 of the Clark County Code.
