BACKGROUND:
On April 1, 2018, UMC and Robert B. McBeath, M.D., PC d/b/a OptumCare Anesthesia (“Provider”) entered into an Amended and Restated Professional Services Agreement (“Agreement”) for anesthesiology clinical services. Amendment One, effective July 1, 2019, added clinical hours for UMC’s Labor and Delivery Department for the obstetric anesthesia service line, increased the monthly compensation, updated Exhibit A’s service requirements, and attached a new Attachment 5 (Annual Attestation Form). The Term of the Agreement, as amended, is through March 31, 2022.
This Amendment Two requests to: (i) extend the Term for one (1) year from April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023; (ii) add additional funds in the total NTE amount of $7,537,404 during the one (1) year extension period; (iii) update Attachment 5 on the Annual Attestation Form; and (iv) add a new Section 5.9 on Final Reconciliation.
UMC’s Support Services Executive Director has reviewed and recommends approval of this Amendment. This Amendment has been approved as to form by UMC’s Office of General Counsel.
The Department of Business License has determined that Provider is not required to obtain a Clark County business license nor a vendor registration.
This Amendment was reviewed by the Governing Board at their March 30, 2022 meeting and recommended for approval by the Board of Hospital Trustees.
