Initial contract amount was $20,683,226.09. Change Order No. 1 increased the contract by $49,950. Change Order No. 2 increase of $1,912,214.85 revised the total contract value to $22,645,390.94. Change Order No. 3 increase of $1,863,000 revises the total contract value to $24,508,390.94.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On September 6, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved the contract award of Bid No. 605954-21 in the amount of $20,683,226.09, to CG&B Enterprises, Inc. for the Fairgrounds Detention Basin and Outfall System project, for the construction of a 135 acre-foot detention basin and 375-foot long emergency spillway northeast of the intersection of Heyer Street and Whipple Avenue, and an outfall system along Heyer Street from the detention basin to Whipple Avenue and along Whipple Avenue from Heyer Street to the Muddy River.

Change Order No. 3 for $1,863,000 increases the total project funding to $24,508,390.94, providing funds for additional costs related to plan revisions, fugitive water, and dam embankment time impact delay costs. This additional scope of work shall include additional calendar days to the project, revising the completion date to December 23, 2024.
