BACKGROUND:
This bid provides for battery electric buses and on-site vehicle chargers for Harry Reid International Airport. The bid was advertised on April 30, 2022. Bids were received and publicly opened on May 24, 2022:

The initial bus and on-site charger purchase will be supplemented by State and Local Funds. The NDEP has agreed to provide the Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) $4,950,000 in Volkswagen Mitigation Funds and DOA anticipates approximately $3,048,000 in FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant funding. The DOA will also be eligible for future FAA funding and will apply for grants as Notices of Funding Opportunities are announced.
The initial term of the contract will be from date of award through delivery of the first 20 buses, which is anticipated to be no later than January 31, 2024, with five (5) one-year renewal options. All bid processes and procedures were completed in accordance with NRS 332.065. GILLIG, LLC will obtain the required Clark County Business License.
