BACKGROUND:
On November 4, 2021, the General Manager approved the award of CBE No. 220004 for Oracle DBA Consulting Services with Syquestsoft Inc. The consulting services encompass a range of activities, including analyzing, monitoring, supporting, modifying, and offering recommendations for Oracle databases, particularly with OVS/OVM environments in the District’s data center. Additionally, the consultant provides Unix/Linux support, and troubleshooting and aiding staff with general systems administration issues crucial for maintaining continuous optimal operational standards for Oracle systems relied upon by District systems administrators.
The amended agreement includes provisions for additional services in the areas of technical development and support for existing .NET, and Oracle systems and interfaces.
Staff recommends that the Board approve and authorize the General Manager to sign Amendment No. 1, which provides a revised Statement of Services, Fee Schedule, and extended contract term (Amendment No. 1 is attached), and authorize an annual price increase not to exceed 10% for each year of the contract term. Staff will submit an annual report to the Board detailing incurred expenditures.
In accordance with NRS 332.115(1)(b) and (i), the competitive bidding process is not required because the purchase is for professional services, and maintenance and support for computer hardware and software. Syquestsoft Inc (SBE) currently holds a Clark County business registration.
