BACKGROUND: 

The Clark County Department of Aviation (County) has an existing lease agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the air traffic control tower facilities (ATCT) at North Las Vegas Airport. County and FAA have negotiated a new On-Airport Land Lease (Lease) for the ATCT facilities.

The pertinent provisions of this Lease are as follows:

    •  The FAA will operate and maintain the ATCT facilities in support of Air Traffic Operations at North Las 
        Vegas Airport at no cost to County.
    •  The agreement is set to expire on September 30, 2040.

This Lease has been approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office.
