BACKGROUND:
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) approved the Centennial Parkway between Alpine Ridge Way and Durango Drive project on their adopted RTC Capital Improvement Plan for improvements that include constructing the missing roadway, curb, gutter, and streetlights on Centennial Parkway between Alpine Ridge Way and Durango Drive. RTC approved and executed Interlocal Contract No. 1180, and Supplementals No. 1 and No. 2 to the Contract. The City of Las Vegas is the lead agency for the design and construction of the project, and also approved and executed Interlocal Contract No. 1180, and Supplementals No. 1 and No. 2 to the Contract.
Centennial Parkway is partially within unincorporated Clark County, and the County is a party to the Contract and supplementals. However, RTC did not provide the original Contract nor Supplementals No. 1 and No. 2 to the County for execution. Supplemental No. 3 to Interlocal Contract No. 1180 will provide additional design funds and extend the project completion date to December 31, 2029 to complete design and acquisition purchases. RTC approved the third supplemental contract at its meeting on November 14, 2024.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the contracts as to form.
