BACKGROUND:
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Rainbow Boulevard between Blue Diamond Road and Clark County 215 Beltway project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2025.
Interlocal Contract No. 3190 provides funds for construction of the Rainbow Boulevard between Blue Diamond Road and Clark County 215 Beltway project. Improvements include hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement and/or rehabilitation of existing asphalt pavement, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades, traffic signal modifications, streetlight upgrades, Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation (FAST) Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) improvements, traffic control devices, pavement markings, median island installation/modifications, storm drain, drop inlets, relocation of school flasher, utility adjustments, and other miscellaneous improvements along the proposed project limits. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.
RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on October 10, 2024.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
