BACKGROUND: 

Bid No. 606663-23, for UPRR Overhead Crash Beam for Eastbound Tropicana Avenue was advertised on May 30, 2023 and opened on July 5, 2023.  1 Bid was received, and the Bid Amount is as follows:

This Contract is for a UPRR overhead crash beam with over-height vehicle detection system and clearance bars to be constructed along eastbound Tropicana Avenue between Wynn Road and the UPRR bridge in Clark County, Nevada.  The project includes removal of concrete slope paving, removal and salvage of traffic signal pole and mast arm, removal and salvage of existing optical sensor, construction of cast-in-place drilled hole concrete piles, concrete columns, steel clearance bar, warning signs, flashers, flasher controller cabinet, Type SA barrier rail, impact attenuators, LED street light assembly with foundation, steel pole, conduit, pole mounted optical sensor controller cabinet, optical sensor transmitter, optical sensor receiver, traffic signal integration, along with associated traffic control and dust control.

The Bid received for the above referenced project is recommended for rejection due to exceeding Public Works' Engineer's Estimate and budget allotted for this project.  A new Invitation for Bid will be issued as part of another effort to be determined.
