BACKGROUND:

The Clark County LEPC is eligible for funding through this grant by maintaining compliance with the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) policies.

The Local Emergency Planning Commission held a meeting on March 23, 2021 to determine the funding allocation of the FY22 SERCOPTE grant.  The Commission has determined that the grant will be utilized by the Clark County Fire Department to purchase atmospheric monitors to detect hazardous materials which enhances hazardous materials preparedness and response efforts.

Staff recommends the Board approve the submission of the attached grant application.
