BACKGROUND:

The State Land Use Planning Advisory Council (SLUPAC) serves as the important liaison between the state and local units of government by advising the administration of the division of state lands on the development and distribution of information useful to land use planning.

SLUPAC is a (20) twenty member board consisting of one representative from each county in Nevada, a representative from the Department of Native American Affairs, and one nonvoting member each from the League of Cities and the Nevada Associates of Counties. Historically, the Comprehensive Planning Department has represented Clark County.

Staff recommends the nomination of Jason Allswang, Director, to serve a three-year term on the State Land Use Planning Advisory Council.
