The initial Agreement amount was $595,350, Amendment No. 1 will increase the Agreement amount by $339,720, for a new total Agreement amount of $935,070.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On December 6, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606186-22 for Summer Education Services for Juvenile Detention and Spring Mountain Youth Camp to Clark County School District in the amount of $595,350 for summer school program for youth who are placed at the Juvenile Detention and Spring Mountain Youth Camp.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Agreement:

                     The term of the Agreement was from date of award through June 30, 2023, and included the option to                      renew for 4, one-year periods.  There are 3 renewal options remaining.
                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Agreement                      with advanced written notice.

Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for teacher compensation increase.  The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
