There is no fiscal impact on County funds.  The County acts as fiscal agent for the State of Nevada in collecting the water distribution charges and remitting the charges to the State

 

BACKGROUND: 

Request that the Board certify the charges for the Muddy River Distribution to the County Assessor is in accordance with NRS 533.280, 533.285, and 533.290.  The State proposes to assess a charge per acre/foot of water of $5.50 for fiscal year 2026.  This will yield $17,766.51 as determined by the State Engineer.

The distribution budget of the State Engineer and the certification is attached.
