BACKGROUND:
On August 18, 2009, the Clark County Board of County Commissioners (County Commission) adopted a resolution creating the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) as required by Assembly Bill 487 of the 2009 Legislative Session. As a result of this action, three (3) housing authorities in Southern Nevada were consolidated: City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, and Clark County.
NRS 315.7809 (1) (a) requires that the governing body of the county to appoint two (2) persons to serve as commissioners of SNRHA, one (1) of whom must be a member of the governing body of the county.
Commissioner Tick Segerblom was appointed to serve on the SNRHA Board of Commissioners at the August 6, 2019, County Commission meeting. His term will expire on August 28, 2023. Commissioner McCurdy is the other representative for Clark County, and his term will expire in January 2025.
The County Commission is asked to reappoint Commissioner Tick Segerblom to serve on the SNRHA Board of Commissioners for a four-year term ending on August 28, 2027.
