BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has approved and programmed funds for flood control improvements for the Flamingo Wash, Cimarron Branch between Russell Road and Patrick Lane project. The project is described as Facility Numbers FLCM 0003, 0020, 0026, 0028, and 0052 in RFCD's 2023 Master Plan Update (MPU) for the Las Vegas Valley.

The attached interlocal contract will provide funds in Year 1 of RFCD's Ten-Year Construction Program for construction of the Flamingo Wash, Cimarron Branch between Russell Road and Patrick Lane project. The project includes reinforced concrete box culverts, rectangular concrete open channel, storm drain laterals, drop inlets, and appurtenant facilities located adjacent to the Cimarron Road alignment from Patrick Lane to Russell Road where it connects to an existing reinforced concrete box culvert that discharges into the Flamingo Detention Basin.

The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RFCD approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on August 8, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
