The total Contract award is estimated in the amount of $4,759,427.40 should all renewal options be exercised.

 

BACKGROUND: 

This Contract is for a Licensing and Placement application that manages foster parents through the process of interviews, background checks and licensing with Binti, Inc (LBE).

A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because the Department of Family Services needed an application that tracked foster parents through the recruitment process. Binti is used by Washoe County and Nevada Department of Child and Family Services. Working with Binti will further the statewide initiative and benefit all Nevada jurisdictions.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
•                     The term of the Contract is from date of award through December 15, 2024 and includes the option to                      renew for (4) four, one-year periods.
•                     Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause or convenience the Contract with advanced written 30                      day notice.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 332.115.1(h), the competitive bidding process is not required as the item to be purchased pertains to software for computers.

The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
