Traffic Signal Improvements at Various Locations #103A - Durango Drive and Gomer Road - Spencer Street and Wigwam Avenue

Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was $2,200,102.94, Change Order No. 1 will increase the Contract amount by $700,000, for a new total Contract amount of $2,900,102.94

 

BACKGROUND: 

On February 2, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid 605722-20 for Traffic Signal Improvements at Various Locations #103A - Durango Drive and Gomer Road - Spencer Street and Wigwam Avenue to UNICON, LLC (NBE) in the amount of $2,200,102.94 for the installation of traffic systems at Durango Drive and Gomer Road and Spencer Street and Wigwam Avenue. Other project improvements include sidewalk ramp reconstruction and pavement rehab to install new loop detectors.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 90 calendar days from the date specified after the                      receipt of the Notice to Proceed. 
                     Included the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

Approval of Change Order No. 1 will provide for 1-inch UTACS (Ultra-Thin Asphalt Concrete Surfacings) along Gomer Road from east of El Capitan Way to west of Durango Drive, and from east of Durango Drive to west of Bella Casa Street, and along south bound Durango Drive from south of Gomer Road to south of Moreno Mountain Avenue. The attached Change Order No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.

UNICON, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
