BACKGROUND:
On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, the Bob Price Recreation Center hosted "Happy Holidays on Bonnie Lane" for the School Daze Program participants and the Open Recreation Program. The event's purpose was to create cherished memories for the children in the community by surprising them with gifts for Christmas. The holidays may be a challenging time for many parents this year, especially those that live in the area surrounding the Bob Price Recreation Center. The staff members at Bob Price came together with local community agencies to create amazing memories that the participants will never forget.
The Las Vegas Aces is a Women's National Basketball Association basketball team based in Las Vegas. The Aces donated 72 outdoor basketballs, one for each participant invited to the event, a donation worth $1,100.
Anthem is a health insurance provider in Southern Nevada. Anthem donated 72 bags, beanies, water bottles, and hand sanitizer, a donation worth $1,440.
Sam & Ash Law is a personal injury law firm based in Las Vegas. Sam & Ash donated 72 scooters and helmets, a donation worth $4,489.
Superheroes 4 Sully is a charity organization that the Mainor family started to honor their son, Sully Mainor, who passed away. Each month, Superheroes 4 Sully supports a local entity that services individuals in need.
