BACKGROUND:

On August 4, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners passed an emergency imposing a temporary cap on delivery fees and other service charges imposed upon restaurants by third party food delivery services and whereas that ordinance was amended on November 17, 2020. Those ordinances are set to expire on February 1, 2021 unless other action is taken by the Board.

Because the conditions justifying the adoption of these ordinances continue to exist and have, in fact, grown worse, the sunset date of the ordinances would be removed by the adoption of this new emergency ordinance, and that the ordinances would continue in force and effect until the March 12, 2020 Declaration of Emergency is lifted.
