The initial Contract amount was $1,000,000 from the initial term. Amendment No. 1 will increase the fee structure and the total Contract amount is subject to change based on future grants and on the volume of participants in the program which is controlled by the courts and upon approved budget appropriations. |
BACKGROUND:
On November 5, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 605421-19 to Charleston Residential dba Crossroads of Southern Nevada (NBE), Freedom House Sober Living, Inc. (NBE) and CR Living, LLC dba Sierra Sage Recovery Services (NBE) and any future providers deemed qualified. to provide more options to place individuals awaiting substance abuse treatment into residential placement facilities for inpatient substance abuse treatment.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are 3 renewal options remaining.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
• Additional providers identified will be qualified by the Eighth Judicial District Court in accordance with requirements of the grant.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide additional services for participants at an increase the rate for Transitional Housing Case Management Cost from $28.22 to $30.00 and incorporate grant flow-down clauses into the Contract. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Charleston Residential dba Crossroads of Southern Nevada, Freedom House Sober Living, Inc. and CR Living, LLC dba Sierra Sage Recovery Services currently hold a Clark County Business License.
