Agenda note: SUBJECT MATTER/RECOMMENDATION: In the matter of the recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners discuss the Title 30 definition of “Gross Acre”, and direct staff accordingly. (For possible action):

DISCUSSION: Following introduction of the item, the Board was addressed by the Clark County Director of Comprehensive Planning, Nancy Amundsen, who advised that the gross acre definition had been modified to not include right-of-way dedications made thirty plus years ago, and that some developers and property owners attempted modifications based on the old meaning; the updated definition defined the density as an up-to-the-center of the roadway boundary; and that the new definition would go into effect July 1, 2021, and would not preclude any commissioner from making a decision on a proposed development.
