BACKGROUND:
On October 7, 2019, the Clark County driver was unaware he scraped the left side of the Soysal Jolanta’s vehicle as they attempted to pass. The total amount of Soysal Jolanta’s medical treatment is at $61,454.72 and the auto property damage was at $7,489.90.Through negotiations with legal counsel for the claimant, the claimant has agreed to accept $100,000.00 in settlement of the bodily injury claim to avoid any further costs and legal expenses of possible litigation in this case. If the settlement is approved, the County would also avoid costs and expenses of any future litigation.The proposed settlement has been reviewed and approved by the Civil Division of the District Attorney’s Office and the Clark County Liability Pool Committee members.
