BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 605791-21, for Traffic Signal Improvements for Three Intersections No. 104-A (Package 1) With Other Improvements was advertised on February 25, 2021 and opened on March 25, 2021. The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the installation of new traffic signal systems at three locations (Torrey Pines Drive & Warm Springs Road, Durango Drive & Patrick Lane, and Buffalo Drive & Patrick Lane) and to install a new pedestrian crossing flasher system at two locations (Katie Avenue & Maryland Parkway and Las Vegas Boulevard & Le Baron Avenue) with other improvements: median island modification improvements at Durango Drive and Sunset Road, and striping improvements on Somerset Hills Avenue. The other traffic improvements include installing traffic loops, median islands, new pavement or pavement rehab, and reconstruct sidewalk ramps, and appurtenances as necessary to construct complete and functional projects.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 245 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
