FY2021 State Emergency Response Commission Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Mid-Cycle Grant

There will be no matching funds required. Grant Performance Period from June 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021.

 

BACKGROUND: 

The Clark County LEPC is eligible for funding through this grant by maintaining compliance with the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) policies. This grant will provide atmospheric monitors and training to Mesquite Fire Rescue.

The State of Nevada Emergency Response Commission made the Local Emergency Planning Commission aware of this funding being available with grant performance period ending September 30, 2021. The Local Emergency Planning Commission met on May 11, 2021 to approve this application.  If awarded, the grant will be used to purchase atmospheric monitors and provide training to responders of Mesquite Fire Rescue.

Staff recommends the Board ratify the submission of the attached grant application.
