The initial Contract amount was $870,000 annually. Amendment No. 1 will increase the daily rate for services by $1,000 for a total Contract amount of $5,046,0000 should all renewal options be exercised, with increased user requirements included.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On June 19, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the Master Contract for CBE No. 604895-18 in the amount of $870,000 annually for Forensic Pathology Services from providers qualified by Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contracts:
•                     The term of the Contract was from date of contract through June 30, 2019 and included the option to                      renew for 4, one-year periods. There are 2 renewal options remaining.
•                     Included the option to increase the award amount up to 20% based on possible increased user                      requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
•                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Approval of Amendment No. 1 will increase the daily rate for Forensic Pathology Services from $1,000 to $2,000 in order to align with current market pricing and increase the success in recruitment of service providers. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.

All qualified providers shall be required to provide proof of insurance and obtain a Clark County Business License or Vendor Registration respectfully, prior to contract award.
