BACKGROUND:

NRS 361.460 requires that the Board of County Commissioners, following certification of the combined tax rates by the Nevada Tax Commission, adopt the resolution to levy the tax rates.  It is anticipated that on June 25, 2021, the Nevada Tax Commission will certify the combined tax rates.  The attached resolution, which will only be effective upon certification of the combined tax rates by the Nevada Tax Commission, reflects the rates approved by each local government entity within Clark County and may be equal to, or less than, the maximum allowed.

The attached resolution reflects the most recent information and is subject to approval by the Nevada Tax Commission.  Therefore, these rates may be amended, and brought back to the Board of County Commissioners, based upon the outcome of the Tax Commission meeting.
