BACKGROUND:

On April 18, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved a professional engineering services contract with VTN Nevada to provide engineering services for the design of the Laughlin Lagoon Maintenance Dredging for Special Improvement District No. 162 project.  The Board approved Supplemental Nos. 1 and 2 for additional engineering and/or post-design services; and Supplemental No. 3 for sonar mapping and restoration monitoring of the Laughlin Lagoon, and to finalize the Laughlin Lagoon Maintenance Dredging plan for Special Improvement District No. 162B.

The attached Supplemental No. 4 to the professional services contract with VTN Nevada will increase funds for additional engineering services and extend the contract term to finalize the harvest and planting of cattails and bullrush plugs within the pre-selected one-acre restoration area, perform more sonar mapping, and finalize the Laughlin Lagoon Maintenance Management Plan to ensure compliance with the Biological Opinion prepared by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.  The contract termination is extended to June 30, 2022.

VTN Nevada currently holds a Clark County Business License.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the supplemental contract as to form.
