BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Cactus Avenue between Las Vegas Boulevard and Spencer Street project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund.

The attached Interlocal Contract No. 1271 will provide funds for engineering, right-of-way, and construction of the subject project.  The design is complete and all right-of-way for construction obtained.  The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2026, unless time extensions are granted.

This project is budgeted in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund in Fiscal Year 2021.  RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on May 20, 2021.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
