BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 605814-21, for Clark County Public Works Maintenance Yard Expansion - Jones Boulevard and Pyle
Avenue was advertised on March 22, 2021 and opened on May 11, 2021. The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the construction of miscellaneous site improvements to Clark County Public Works
Maintenance Yard located at 9935 South Jones Boulevard. The project will generally consist of increasing the
size of the Traffic Operations outside paved storage yard by 77,800 square feet and the Road Division fleet
parking areas by approximately 193,600 square feet, and construction of a paved Road Division material storage
and equipment yard of approximately 563,700 square feet. Work will include grading, concrete curb, gutter, and
cross gutter; plantmix bituminous surface and aggregate base; storm drainage channel improvements, riprap; onsite lighting, conduit, and appurtenances; 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer line extension; chain-link fence; and
pavement markings.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 45 calendar days from the date specified in the
Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience
language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
