BACKGROUND:

In May 2018, Clark County (County) entered into a Revocable Permit with Nevada Environmental Response Trust (NERT) for the purposes of establishing a Permitted Area where NERT could install monitoring wells to perform sampling of groundwater to monitor perchlorate levels in the Las Vegas Wash.  In January 2020, the County and NERT entered into an amendment to expand the Permitted Area.

NERT is now requesting to add Assessor Parcel Numbers 160-29-710-001 & 160-28-501-002 to the Permitted Area to continue groundwater monitoring, access the monitoring stations, and install security boxes for the samples.

This item was presented to the County Long Range Planning Committee on June 10, 2021.
