BACKGROUND:
On January 7, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional services for the period of January 7, 2019 through December 31, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the Board approved a one-year extension of this list through December 31, 2021. AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Service]: Construction Management - Administration Major, to provide construction management services for the Russell Road between Paradise Road and Mountain Vista Street and Eastern Avenue between Sunset Road and Tompkins Avenue (Bid No. 605759-20) project.
Due to County Public Works’ present and anticipated project workload, the services of an outside consultant for project management are needed. County staff negotiated the attached professional services contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms. The time of performance is effective to December 31, 2023, unless time extensions are granted. AECOM Technical Services, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
